Every year, the Charleston Regional Business Journal recognizes 40 members of the business community under the age of 40 who are movers and shakers that have both the ambition and foresight to balance a successful career with community service so soon in their lives. Candidates are nominated by CRBJ readers for their dedication and commitment to their jobs and communities and a distinguished panel of judges selects the 40 individuals they feel most deserve the award.
This year’s group was once again 40 of the most interesting and successful young businesspeople from the region including Tammie Hoy, Executive Director of the Lowcountry Housing Trust. The staff and board of directors of the Trust wish to congratulate Tammie on this outstanding recognition and to thank her for hard work, dedication, and undying commitment to MAKING HOUSING HAPPEN!
Tammie administers, directs, and oversees the development and operation of the Lowcountry Housing Trust as well as serving on various local and statewide committees including:
- Affordable Housing Coalition of South Carolina
- Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce Developer’s Council
- League of Women Voters
- Lt. Governor’s Taskforce on Affordable Housing
- Mayor’s Council on Housing and Homelessness
Tammie is a tireless advocate for affordable housing and it is indeed an honor and pleasure for all of us to work with such an amazing young woman.
